Hey Elise. I was worrying about our future yesterday when I decided for some reason that I needed to take a long stroll between spring showers. I got out onto the bike trail and before I turned around, past town, I saw a hare and it crossed my path. It dove into a thicket.

This was no mere rabbit; wild or even escaped pet. This was a snowshoe hare. I went home and googled it, apparently they exist in Ohio but they are stupidly rare. Apparently a hare crossing your path is a fertility symbol.

I'm trying to paint again. It has been hard to paint for a while but when I think of you it gets easier. I hope you are doing okay out there. I've been dying to watch these months fly by so we can all be together again.

This can be a lot to keep faith in everyday, tbh. It is really easily to tell myself that my eyes, my ears, my memory etc were dead wrong when I've seen so many years of people enduring clinical grade self doubt. It is much harder to simply believe what I know in my heart to be right.

Still, that must be why the Universe sees fit to send me signs and reminders.
